We can't have a good FHE without refreshments, right?

So, I'm looking for a few volunteers to bring something...

    Specifically:

Please reply to Sue by Aug 2 if you want to help. Last year we had waaaayyyy too much food, so I'm going to let people know how much to bring later in the week when I get a count of attendees.
    Thanks for helping!

    Sue

    Lesson by Ken Alford

Ken recommends the purchase of the BELLHOP style bells to use during games. 1 for each team. They can be bought inexpensively at Office or Teacher supply stores (under $5, I think he said about $2).

Taught Stand on your Head and Cats Claws Games. Anyone write down the rules? Please send them to me!

Ken encouraged teachers not to wait until the lesson containing the Scripture Mastery verse to introduce that verse; but rather, get them out to the students quickly so that teachers can use all 25 in the games and lessons as the year progresses. If you wait, some verses will only be in use for 1 or 2 weeks. One suggestion he made was to use them for the first months devotionals.

Ken talked about things students remember after they are out of seminary:

Relate SM verses to stories and experiences. Example: Relate Job 19:25-26 to Fork Story. (Story to follow)
Teach to use the bible effectively. (Footnotes, Dictionary, Concordance) What will they do when you're not there to show them.
Build a scripture chain for each SM verse.

    Closing Prayer:
