Before the 1st day
- All students should have been called three times, once by each of the following people:
- Priesthood Leader (bishop)
- Class Officer
- teacher
- Get the room ready
- Moses and Abraham are the first three weeks we don�t get into Genesis until fourth
week
- Overview / Goals for the year ( your philosophy of teaching)
- Have you prepared your heart? Ezra 7:10
1st Day
- Greet every student personally! Even if they are late.
- Have a greeting by a Priesthood leader.
- Minimal (no) paperwork.
- A slam dunk lesson tied to the Old Testament
- Shofar - Rabbi Jacob�s Internet 10 reasons to blow. (Any time trumpet is used in
- the old testament it is a Shofar.) Blow shofar. On paper have them write
- challenges they have.
- Story of Gideon (Judge 7)
- Story of Esther (Esther 2-6)
- Bear testimony (student testimony?)
- Are you missing anyone?
2nd Day
- Greet every student personally by name.
- Why we sing hymns read 1st page of hymnal 1st Presidency message.
- Introductions:
- written information sheet,
- 3x5 card introduce your neighbor.
- Take a group photo
- Video camera in room to record introductions
- Mark story in old testament your favorite old testament story
- need scriptures, red pencils
- have students make the application
3rd Day
- Greet all
- Devotional by students Good singing
- First video Introduction time capsule
- Time capsule 2050 lesson manual
- Open bibles how many pages
- Tell favorite Old Testament stories
- Real people with real challenges: Bully-David, Chasity-Joseph, Impossible task-Abraham
- Have photo 81/2 by 11 up (of group shot of students)
4th Day Blow Shofar
- Devotional Day students identify good singing
- Plan of Salvation 3 choices of lessons
- Visuals bulletin board leave up
5th Day
- Class president conducts Introduce devotional chairman
- Review Plan of Salvation
- Mark neat verse in Old Testament
- Bear testimony
6th Day
- Rules of Seminary, Roles of students, teacher, food, drink and hat policy
- Scripture Study helps
- Who have we missed?
